Fund Raising

Dear Sharks Boys Lacrosse Community,

 

We share a deep pride in our Shark lacrosse family. As Head Coach for the NSU University School Sharks lacrosse team, my personal journey with lacrosse has led me here, and I'm grateful for the opportunities it has provided. 

 

Our lacrosse program has a track record of success, producing All-American and All-District players while winning team academic awards for our player’s high team GPA as well as many lacrosse awards for individual academic performance. Our coaching staff is nationally recognized for player development and leadership. As good as we are though, we aim to continue improving and I'm reaching out today for your support to help us do it.

 

While NSU University School covers all operational aspects of our lacrosse program (field maintenance, transportation, etc.) including helmets and uniforms, there are several provisions that go beyond the operational budget that we have historically provided to our student-athletes. These are personal items and experiences that strengthen our bond on and off the field and they are the extra effort and details that help make us more than a team. 

 

This year, we are seeking additional support for:

 

  • Personalized shooter shirts (2 per player), gear bags and gloves each with the players number and school logo. These are items that the players will keep. Many players continue using these items beyond the regular season as a symbol of inclusion and pride

  • Pre-game meals to ensure our players are well-fueled and reaching their peak performance during game time (we aim to provide over 500 meals for our players this season) 

  • Pre-game and post-game Senior Night activities which includes senior gifts

  • A year-end banquet to celebrate our team’s accomplishments and recognize and celebrate each of our players’ efforts and hard work all season. This banquet is for the players and parents but all family are welcome for a small additional charge. 

 

Your personal or business donation is tax deductible and will directly benefit our program. Individuals or businesses can donate at www.nova.edu/uschoolannualfund. Be sure to designate your gift to the Athletic Fund and in the comments box enter: Upper School Boys Lacrosse or Middle School Boys Lacrosse. 

 

Many members of our lacrosse family provide support through business donations in the form of purchasing a banner. The details for purchasing a banner are below. This is a great way to help fund our program and it’s also tax deductible for your business.
